Naan has always been one of my absolute favorite North Indian comfort foods, and nothing beats the soft, pillowy version my mom makes at home. Unlike the slightly chewy naan you sometimes get at restaurants, her homemade version is fluffy, light, and stays delicious even when reheated the next day.
This simple yet satisfying recipe is my go-to for family dinners when I want to serve something warm and fresh off the pan, perfect for scooping up rich curries or enjoying on its own with a knob of butter melting on top. Making homemade naan might sound fancy, but these simple steps show just how quick and satisfying it can be. With the added carrot-coriander topping, each naan turns out flavorful and colorful, perfect for elevating an everyday dinner.
Prepare the topping: Mix the grated carrot, chopped coriander leaves, and sesame seeds together in a small bowl. Set aside.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients thoroughly.
Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients until well combined.
Make the dough: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and knead everything together to form a smooth dough.
